This topic will simply be for sharing things that are happening in your life daily, any random occurrences or things you want to mention and talk about. Perhaps even get some advice on something that may be bothering you. Or just feel free to chatter about something you did that day, almost anything is okay for here.
Feel free to talk about almost anything within the rules on here!

So Twisty is basically really lazy this week, Dead Week is what we call the week before finals. It's basically either you're overloaded with work to the point of stressing or you have nothing to do.
I'm really inbetween these two different things. I only have three projects to do, one of them is pretty much already done, and I'm working on the other two. How am I lazy then? Well... all three are due tomorrow. And one of them I haven't even started on. So, uh, yeah. I put all of this off to the last minute.
And I don't really even have much of a reason, or at least much of one that I'm willing to accept. I'm just feeling really exhausted and finally hit the "wall" that college students get, where we're just tired of doing anything school-wise and don't want to do anything. I'll be putting up some more writing stuff though in a while, after I get the writing portfolio for my writing class all done.
I'll also have two artwork things that I can put up afterwards, one of them is a redone Angry Birds game where it's more of babies throwing diapers at a parent. The other is a model that I'll be working on, it's a worm-seel thing with sharp teeth and spikes on it. So yeah, those will be up sometime over the next week, maybe over the weekend. I might just have to polish them both up since I'm being really lazy with actually completing them for schoolwork purposes.
Anyone else dealing with things like finals and such?

Oh yes, not so much finals I'm worrying about, but I have a lot of work due as the semester ends in 2 weeks, and some classes end earlier.
There's 2 essays due Tuesday, a test Monday, and 5 journal reviews due Tuesday. Mind I have not started any of this except one essay. The end of the semester came up very fast and I didn't expect to have all this work on my plate, but now I guess I've learned I can't push it all off.

Oof, I dislike when teachers do that. They already know the other teachers are going to want to load students up on work the last week-two and yet they still add to the load. Almost like some kind of sick test of how much a student can stand before they just break down crying. :X
Hopefully you're able to get it done, though. I've mostly knocked out all but my modeling project and then editing up my last remaining story and I should be done by then.

Well I've finished one of them now, my main problem is all the distractions. In my head I have a solid plan about how to get them all done without cramming, but as soon as I get home I'm sick of school and just want to relax. This is the statement that has been in my mind all week long:
I have do much work to do I should probably-- oh look, other things!!

I've come to believe it's a kind of coping mechanism that people will use. We don't really know where to start on it, or when we do it just seems like so much work, that we almost unconsciously distract ourselves and put it off. Kind of just not wanting to get ourselves stressed from it, although it's not as helpful when you can't actually put it off.
Although try teaching your body's instincts that, when they don't understand that kind of thing... xD

Yeah, the hardest part is always starting, then it gets easier but it's too easy just to push the work off. I tend to work better with limited time restraints for some reason so I just roll with it.
Just about anything is acceptable overdoing homework, it's just so dull. Especially now in college, when nothing is simple. Everything is some complex essay or an in depth study of something, usually resulting in hours of research and work.

I enjoy procrastinating in almost everything I do, usually putting it off until the last day-two. Mostly because I've learned by now that I can almost always finish in that amount of time and that it just happens to be the most motivating. When I start out on something I never want to do it, but when I end up going through with it that's when I actually get really into it and start putting more effort in.
I really feel bad compared to you, I don't really have that many hard assignments. Or at least they're assignments in my field of study that are rather fun to do if I actually get myself to do it.
