Looking for Spriting/Artwork Tutorials
I'm requesting that the spriters and artists we have on the website band together to create tutorials for various topics one will find while they are spriting or art in general.
All tutorials are required to have copies of each image in the original, non-zoomed in size. Please remember this, we need them like this so that we can resize them to whatever might be necessary within the tutorial itself.
Rules
Yes I'm requiring rules on these. We have to have these look professional, because for the time being we're going to be using these to help out the new or more inexperienced spriters that we have.
-It must have details within it, it has to be a step-by-step guide in some way that any person, no matter what age, can read and follow along.
-You must write it including all the tools that you use within a specific program. Regular spriting tutorials will therefore mostly be created with Paint in mind, however if a spriter has found ways to create things within other programs, such as GIMP or Photoshop for example, it must be created with that in mind.
-Have pictures and directions on where to find each of the tools that you've used so others can find them on their programs, keep in mind however that amongst different versions of a program a tool could be found in a different location.
-Have pictures of the sprites during the steps so that any reader can have a visual in mind to understand what they're doing. It can be difficult to follow along with an artwork tutorial when you have no idea what it's even supposed to look like while you're working.
-Professional language, do not use any text chat. Make sure that what you have is understandable and makes sense, re-read it over a few times if you have to. Sometimes what we first type out isn't what we meant, or we realize it could be phrased better.
Categories
We are going to have two types of main categories for these tutorials. One will be for spriting and the other will be for artwork, such as drawing or drawing on the computer. Spriting isn't the only thing us artists do on here after all, I've seen quite a few people who can draw very well and it would be great to draw on that resource to help out people who are just starting to draw!
Please note that the sub-categories within Spriting and Artwork will each need their own tutorial dedicated to just them. I can't think up all the sub-categories on my own however so I'm going to request that the forum help me here with adding in suggestions. Such as "I didn't see anything about fusions under Spriting, shouldn't we add that?" or "Artwork requires how to draw hair, please add that sub-category!"

How to add suggestions
If you think of something that could be added to these tutorial lists, want to change how one is worded, think that some suggestions could be turned into one instead, post on the topic. Simply state what you want to add a suggestion to, such as "I would like to add pillowshading onto the spriting one" or "How about banners for artwork?".
Any suggestions are welcome because I would like to get as many detailed tutorials about many different things. After all, sometimes all we want is to look up how to do one thing that we don't know and we don't want to search through a giant tutorial of many different things just to find that.
How to "submit" tutorials
If you have a tutorial that you want to use for this project I would like you to send me a PM with the tutorial in that PM. In the title of the PM I would like you to put what the tutorial is for, as well as what program it's meant for. Remember that it must follow all of the rules listed. If I find that some parts of it are not correct and that I can easily fix it I will send it back to you with edited parts marked with blue text so you know what I've changed.
If I think a lot of it needs changed I will list off the parts that you need to change, changing the text to red on the parts that I'm requesting be changed.
Looking forward to what people come up with! Once I have a few tutorials added into the tutorial section for this I'll create a sticky topic in Artwork with a link to every thread describing what the tutorial is for as well as the program it's used for.
