Eevee is a widely known for being the evolution pokemon, as it evolves into 8 different pokemon, each with a corresponding type based on their name and design. When selecting a favorite eeveelution, what do you factor in? There is its overall appearance, competitive stats, type, nature and much more to consider. For example, I find Vaporeon to be my most favorite eeveelution due to its cute and elegant mermaid like appearance, amazing bulk and pure water typing(only 2 weaknesses), and how it generally makes a soft squealing cry in the anime as its tone, making it seem to have a generally calm, serious, and timid nature. Vaporeon is used by various expertise water type trainers, and is also one of the most common eeveelutions used in competitive play. In generation 5 when drizzle was everlasting, Vaporeon could abuse its hydration ability to heal entirely with rest and wake up in the exact same turn, making it an incredibly reliable wall. It also knows acid armor to cover up for its poor physical defense stat. Overall, vaporeon to me is simply an amazing pokemon on its own, and the fact that its an eeveelution only makes it more unique. Imagine if one day you gave your pet dog a wet stone made of water and it suddenly grew fins, gills, and a mermaid like tail. Pretty epic if you ask me. xD What is your favorite Eeveelution?

My personal favorite Eeveelution has got to be the Grass Type, Leafeon. Although it is the Defense Eeveelution, it has a fairly solid moveset and can be dangerous if you know how to use it. Besides the not so competitive use for it, I just generally love the design for it. Right now, there isn't much I can actually say about it. I love the design, Grass was already a favorite type of mine, and Green was still my favorite color. Plus the fact that Generation 4 was my childhood, I don't believe anything can surpass this for me.
inb4 Sylveona says Sylveon as her answer.

I like Eevee as it is, but since I need to pick one I pick Umbreon. It's so cute and dark and the glowing rings and aaah~ Dark and mysterious, kind of a masculine look to it really and it's a nice contrast to the sun-evo that is Espeon~

Very fitting topic, Intel! ^-^ haha~.
Vaporeon appeals to me the best because it is a Water-type! I remember back in the day when I watched the Pokemon anime, Ash and the gang turned up at a mansion home to the three Eevee brothers. They were trying to encourage their younger brother to evolve his Eevee into one of the original three Eeveelutions. Anyway I liked how Vapoereon was portrayed in the anime, being shown to be slightly mysterious in the way it could melt into water. :3
I used to battle competitively and I found Vappy's Hydration ability to complement his bulky stats well. Nice choice, Game Freak! It was almost impossible to take down, because as Intel mentioned, it would immediately wake up fully recovered as if any previous damage had not occurred. I used to use Toxic, then wear down the foe with Surf and Ice Beam repeatedly, whilst Resting when needed. Just need to watch for any set up sweepers (Swords Dance, nasty Plot, Dragon Dance, Quiver Dance etc) who will use Vapoeron as set up bait.
Of course who couldn't resist Vappy's appearance. :')
@ Heav, too bad Leafeon's high defense is negated by five weaknesses. D: If Leafeon sets up Swords Dance, your opponent will be ripped literally by Leaf Blade!

I would have to go with Umbreon, of course. For several reasons. He is probably the coolest looking Eeveelution in my opinion, being a sleek black with glowing yellow (or blue!) rings. Also his killer defense and special defense make him a menace in barrow.
My Toxic, Protect, Moonlight, and Assurance move set goes a long way. Umbreon is also my all time favorite pokemon, and it's been a goal of mine to one day breed a shiny Eevee and receive my very own shiny Umbreon. Still working on it though!

Umbreon, Espeon, Vaporeon, and Sylveon all seem to be pretty tied for me. So I guess my favorite just depends on the mood I'm in. Umbreon looks really cool, especially its shiny version. Blue is my favorite color :3 Espeon is a cute lil kitty with psychic powers, what's not to like about that? Vaporeon is a pretty little mermaid-cat thing, and was my favorite before I found out Espeon and Umbreon existed, so yeah,I still like it a lot And then Sylveon's just a super cute little dragon killer. With bows presumably made of it's own skin. I love it ewe

Still working on it though! *cough* I could always arrange a shiny Eevee for you! hehe If you do, meet me at the resort alley in half an hour and we'll talk about a deal (aka PM). *cough* Good luck in your quest! I remember the days when I'd go weeks breeding for the Pokemon I wanted, but then I became a Pokemon hacker! Ever since I have been attending HAA (Hacker Anonymous Association) meetings at Saffron City Pokemon Centre. >.< XD

Haha well my goal is to get a non hacked one, I have 2 hacked ones in soul silver, but ever since Black 2 I decided to solely use legit pokemon. My dex is at 341 without any hacking in that game! (So if anyone has a legit event Shaymin, Manaphy, or Arceus I would appreciate your help!) Im still working in breeding one in Y but i hatched like 300 eggs and nothing. Thankfully I can dispose of them on wonder trade in Y though unlike previous games where I didn't use masuda method due to space.

Sounds good! I remember I completed my Diamond Pokedex without hacking. Then after that I never bothered completing the Pokedex again haha. I have the three Pokemon you're looking for I believe! Manaphy from Pokemon Ranger, whilst Shaymin and Arceus came from events. :3 I actually have 5 event Arceus for each of the Generation IV games, so if you want one maybe we could trade hehe.

My favourite is probably Glaceon. It is the only Eeveelution I really use for battling, and a great one at that. Mine singlehandedly took down a trio of Chandelure (Fire Blasts missed), Mienshao (Hi-Jump Kicks missed) and Haxorus (Dragon type). It may have been down to had, but I've loved Glaceon since that very moment. Personally, I like its design more than all of the others, too. Also, my Glaceon in the PokePavilion League (which I intend to bring something similar to here) is named Franziska - guess the origin - , and that nickname alone makes it awesome.

it's been a goal of mine to one day breed a shiny Eevee and receive my very own shiny Umbreon. Still working on it though! Dude, if you got X and Y, shiny rates have spiked. Not spiked as in one in ten rather than one in 8192, but spiked in that it's currently not too hard to get one if you know how. I got 11 shinies in that game already, if you got it, try going for one there. In any case, it's really hard to choose. Though on the top I'd have to say Espeon. Espeon has awesome Speed and Sp Attack stats with even Magic Bounce, making it a fine Pokemon to use. Other things are that Psychic is my favorite type, and the nostagic reasons of Espeon being one of my strongest mons before I learned how to battle competitively. Espeon was a lot of fun for me. Runners up would be Umbreon and Sylveon, for similar reasons. They're both walls that are a lot of fun to play. I'm the one who gave Eon the set he uses, because it's just so effective. Umbreon, as far as I know, has never hit OU, so messing with OU fighting types with that set is immensely satisfying. Sylveon is also a really good wall, but the main differences are that it's weaknesses aren't common and that it can actually use it's attacking stats. Sylveon can and has tanked STAB Earthquake from a +2 Garchomp, and lived to tell the tale. It's really fun to play, and I'm liking it more and more.

I'd possibly would have to lean in with Jolteon. I'm the lame gamer who really doesn't (At the moment,) care about their stats or type. I've just always liked Jolteon's appearance considering He reminds me of a dog of some sort. Coincidentally, Jolteon was actually seen portraying a herding sheepdog in, Get Along, Little Pokemon.
However I doubt Jolteon would be the best at cuddling with all those spikes around his body...

HydroVaporeon being able to disappear into water for me makes it the most dangerous of the Eeveelutions. They can be anywhere in water and you'd never even know, imagine if Team Aqua had bothered to have Vaporeons all on their teams. They could easily take down any place near the water because you'd be attacked by Pokemon you can't even see, no idea where they are, or how many there are. There would be almost no way to fight back unless you realized they were in the water and set the entire water sparking with electricity, which would be a pretty dangerous move for all the other Pokemon that live in the water. I imagine if the games were ever more realistic that it would be awesome to use Vaporeon's water-melting ability to raise your evasion immensely and help you win battles near or in water sources. I wonder if that kind of thing would ever be implemented into any kind of 3D battling environment game if Nintendo went that way. I'm pretty sure a lot of people would be interested in having such a game model. ;3 BlaqI hope that Glaceon is still with you even now, I wouldn't want to lose that kind of awesome Pokemon. Things like that don't seem to come along every day, so it deserves a champion spot in your box. ;3 I'm going to take a guess that your Glaceon happens to be a Pokemon that does not suffer "foolishly foolish fools who flounce in their foolishness all foolish day." HigeI've always had the belief that Jolteon's spikes aren't normally sharp and that it's just a mechanism that makes them sharp and actually spiky once it wants to attack or defend itself. Maybe because when it's not in an attack stance it doesn't seem to have the same degree of sharpness to me. From Bulbapedia- "In addition to the ability to become sharp like needles, Jolteon's fur also amplifies the electrical charges produced by its cells." So it definitely looks like it's not normally sharp and spiky! So long as you don't anger the Pokemon it seems you'd be fine to snuggle with it.
For me Espeon has to be my favorite. It's the Eeveelution that can sense danger before it arrives, how helpful would it be to have a Pokemon that can alert you before an enemy attacks you, or tell you when you're walking on thin ice? Or any other dangerous situation, you'd probably be one of the best luck kind of people with a "bad luck" detector on your side. Espeon's slim design is also great. A sleek and beautiful feminine Pokemon that can also turn dangerous and blast you with Psychic if you mess with it. Because it can tell when danger's about to happen it could certainly be great in a fight as well, being able to sense when an attack is coming and dodge it. Try to fight a Pokemon that can tell when your attack will hit and it dodges every time, always getting a hit on you while you can't! Soft fur would make it a great Pokemon to just cuddle with as well, which is something I love doing. Used to have a cat that I tried to have snuggle with me every time I went to bed but it always crawled away before I slept. Lastly it was a pretty decent Sp. Attacker when I had an EV trained one on my Black team. I can't remember if I had IV bred it as well, but if it got the first hit in it would easily wipe out people in the Battle Subway. The only downfall that Espeon had was that if it didn't get the first strike it would probably go down on the first hit, but that could probably be helped with better moveset/items/IVs.

Figures I've gott more shinies in the old games when they were hard to find, and less (without methods) in this game despite the major increase.

inb4 Sylveona says Sylveon as her answer. I am known too well. ABORT MISSION. Heaven is right. Sylveon is my favorite.~ The eeveelutions have always been my favorite. In gen 1 it was eevee and flareon. In gen 2-4 it was umbreon (I love glaceon a lot but it is just no competition with umbreon). Then came along sylveon. The girly, pastel, frilly pokemon with fangs that can easily beat most dragons. Not only that, it has a typing that I really love, the fairy type. While this pokemon is cute and cuddly, it is also a pretty fierce fighter and has great potential for creepypastas. Movable flesh ribbons and draining kiss, anyone?
