Hydro Pumper's XY Casual Team
Hey all! I haven't bought XY yet, and I'm still unsure if I will... though I've decided to plan a team anyway. XD I'm simply using any Pokemon which appeal to me rather than basing it off their competitive battling value, because after all in-game teams are all about using the Pokemon you like! The moves I have chosen for each Pokemon allows me to gain as wide enough coverage as possible. Most of these sets wouldn't work on Showdown. Natures will be either Adamant or Modest depending on whether the Pokemon is physically or specially based. I hack my Pokemon, however, they will be legal hacks.
Overview
The Team
Hawlucha
(Fighting/Flying)
Flying Press
Flying Press
Fly
Stone Edge
U Turn
Couldn't resist experimenting with the new type combination! First two moves are for STAB, and having Fly on him makes travelling simpler with not needing to head to a PC Box every five seconds haha. Stone Edge for additional coverage. U Turn complements the speed stat allowing Hawlucha to attack and then retreat (before the opponent has the chance to do the same in the majority of cases!).

Gogoat
(Grass)
Leaf Blade
Leaf Blade
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Bulk Up
My star sign is Capricorn, so why not pick a goat Pokemon? :3 lol. Game Freak were pretty generous with the moves Gogoat is able to learn! I'm happy we finally have a physical Grass-type who can reliably use Earthquake and Rock Slide for better coverage alongside a Grass STAB attack.

Pyroar
(Fire/Normal)
Flamethrower
Flamethrower
Hyper Voice
Hidden Power Grass
Dark Pulse
This guy had the potential to be the next Arcanine, but Game Freak had to nerf its movepool to be very rigid to work with. Did my best! Flamethrower for STAB, same with Hyper Voice. The Normal-type secondary STAB works well with Flamethrower in terms of coverage. Rock-type Pokemon are still a hassle, hence Hidden Power Grass. Dark Pulse nails Ghost-types specifically.

Clawitzer
(Water)
Surf
Surf
Ice Beam
Aura Sphere
Dragon Pulse
<3 <3 <3 Love Clawitzer's movepool! Finally a Water-type which learns one of my favourite moves, Aura Sphere! Surf is an excellent STAB providing good power and reliability. Ice Beam hits Grass and Dragon-types who resist Surf. Aura Sphere nails Ferrothorn and a Fighting-type move is always welcome for their good coverage. Dragon Pulse because why not?

Goodra
(Dragon)
Dragon Pulse
Dragon Pulse
Flamethrower
Slime Wave
Thunderbolt
Reminds me so much of Dragonite in terms of a Dragon-type which isn't very intimidating. :3 Pretty cool concept. Dragon Pulse is the best STAB option for in-game with good power and accuracy. Flamethrower covers Steel-type Pokemon, whilst Slime Wave targets the new Fairy-type. Thunderbolt is good because there aren't any other Pokemon on the team carrying an Electric move, plus most Ice Beamers out there are Water-type.

Florges
(Fairy)
Moonblast
Moonblast
Psychic
Energy Ball
Hidden Power Ground
What is a XY team without a Fairy-type? Moonblast for STAB and the name sounds cool. Psychic covers the Poison-type and fills the gap of no Psychic moves on the team. Energy Ball is a nice filler move haha. Hidden Power Ground nails the Steel-type.
